Hi folks,
Thought I,d better post an intro.I'm a new 2009 America owner.Still running the bike in and absolutely love it.Bought it with short Tors and a sissy bar for the misses. The dealer told me not to pillion while running in. I am not one to complain so I removed the pillion pad and sissybar! Love the stripped down look. From what I have read this is a great site.I see most here are putting their bikes into hibernation now.I am glad that here in Australia we dont need to do that. Happy riding.

Hibernate ... are you joking these bikes are meant to be ridden. Its freezing here in Scotland raining and blowing gales is the bike off the road ...not yet... when it snows or when the frost is on the ground then and only then will the bike be off the road. As for 2 up running in havent heard that one. Why did nobody else on this site think of that one when I joined here ????? I could have had the bloody bike stripped down as it is she has now refused to let that happen. On plus side another bike was hinted at

Welcome any way to this wonderful site with its colourful characters. Its wonderful and insightful ideas. Its friendly happy banter.

I will now wait on one of the regulars totally screwing up all my thoughts and theories about this site.

I cannot decide whether to be a good example or a horrible warning ! Peace & respect http://www.tomcc.org/gg/ Eric

Welcome Chris. Us Triumph owners in Missouri haven't parked our bikes. That's what the Harley guys do. Their fingers get cold and they hate breaking down and having to walk when it gets under 45.

I'm glad to see everyone tries to keep riding in the colder months. There is nothing quite like getting suited up and heading off into that cold crisp winter morning air.Invigorating.
Hey guys dont tell my misses you pillioned while running your bikes in.I am enjoying the solo look while I can.
I am ready for my 3rd tank of fuel today. Surprised how economical the bike is 245km and not on reserve yet.
Cheers

I can usually ride year round here (NW FL). It's too cold for me at night now, but that won't last long. I'll definitely ride Sunday. I can't take the cold like some of you guys. I prefer to not ride below 50. I don't mind riding at 100 though, just don't like sitting at lights.

I bought my speedmaster in April and I do not intend to put it away. Here in Vegas the temps hardly go below 40 during the winter. I bought a pair of leather riding chaps and I may spring for some hippo hands as even with gloves it gets kinda nasty when it gets down below 60.

With a full face helmet, a tight fitting and lined jacket, a turtle necked sweater and a good pair of boots, hippo hands and a decent windshield I inted to ride all winter long. Many years ago back East I rode all year long and only took on 4 wheels when the snows packed all the roads.

I have lived here in Vegas 16 years and I have seen snow 3 times. It never lasts more than a few hours and rapidly melts. However sometimes the temps dip into the 20's and ice becomes an issue. Those decorative fountains so popular with some of the trendy yippie shopping centers have become ice creations with low temps and wind conditions can blow spray some distance onto roadways. Look out.

07 Speedmstr, Long Tors, bags, sissy bar and rack, windshield, engine bars, 2 ww lights, 2 fast eddy stickers and a .45 ACP.
