Has anyone purchased the new Chromed America Wheels - Comments? Any pics of them on a bike. They do look tempting but the price in Canada is
Seriously looking at selling my spoked rims for these. 2 flats on the road with no way to repair has dampened the desire for them.

I've copied a link from a retailer.

Nope-guy rode the bike out and we never saw him again! Looked killer, though.

Coouple of questions before I take the plunge;

Are these a straight change for the pre 07 Americas with spoked wheels?

Do they come with bearings?

If I didn't have so much time, effort and money wrapped up in my TBS front wheel conversion, I'd go for those in a heartbeat. May still one day go for the chrome second-gen Speedmaster wheels some day, IF WE EVER GET TO SEE THEM. They're more rare than a TBS wheel or a Thunderbird (or fins on a Thunderbird for that matter ).

Unless they put more finish into them I wouldn't buy them.I saw a set and they look like cheapo crappy wheels. The same areas that are rough on the oem are still rough on the chrome ones. So they look like they are unfinished or they didn't put any prep work into them and just chromed over the rough cast parts. For chrome wheels and the cost of them they should be finished everywhere in my opinion.

I will if I ever look. A rear shouldn't be too hard to find since we have a regular rear axle. Trouble is non of us have money to buy wheels not knowing if they will fit or not. If I really wanted chrome I would take a stock set and smooth out the rough parts and have them chromed myself.

I have been kicking around having mine powder coated.

I have the stock wire wheels and really like them. BUT, I've thought if I ever replace them I would want chrome wheels. I don't have a stock alloy set to chrome. It does take a little work to keep the stock laced wheels looking great. Someday I'll give up.

The 07/08 speedmaster wheels seem to be better and more cleaner edges, they would need sandblasting first though to remove the powder coat...

Where I live, access to any chroming facilities is virtually non existant. There are no shops sporting a selection of rims. OEM is the way to go for me.

Plan on ordering my rims and picking them up when the wife and I return from an upcoming trip to Florida.

Still don't know if they come with bearings and do they fit pre 07 Americas???

I would imagine they come with bearings, they should come with a kiss too. They will fit the earlier bikes.

I would think the Triumph chrome wheels would fit every America made to date.
They are pricey, but the chromed ones look much better than the stock to me.

Too bad they stopped running the spoked rims, I admit the inner tube is a pain in the bum, but in my opinion there is stil nothing with more class they a set of polished spokes. Though a good set of mags on the right bike looks awesome as well.

Love the spoke look but rather clean the mags.
