Need to know what works better - the short or the tall Triumph sissy bar for an average size chick about 5'3''. To be fitted to a stock '09 America. All inputs welcome, esp. from those salty, grizzled old farts like me. thanx.

One thing to consider, if you plan on using it to attach luggage the tall one works better. I have the short one and it doesn't work well with a T bag.

Been told that tall one is better for the pillion more comfortable and feels better. The short one makes you feel unbalanced when on the back. It also is good for leaning back and stretching on a long journey.

I had the tall bar installed at delivery. Have since lowered it and the luggage rack. At least this way you have the choice of 2 positions.

Short looks better, IMO. All it does is keep her from sliding off the back.

I got the short one because I liked the looks better, however, my wife doesn' feel real secure with it because about all it's good for is a butt stop. It is not tall enough to lean back on. I am in the process of trying to find a used tall bar now for her benefit and also to make it easier to attach luggage. Get the tall one.
