I think your chronology is a little off, Nolan ol' boy.
You must have forgotten that all THIS "fun" started almost two years ago. And so, if we're REALLY lucky, that'll give us only about TWO YEARS until all this "fun" starts all over AGAIN!!!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

yuo are absolutely correct Dwight...They need to start campaigning early to spend that money so freely given to the campaigms. My 89 year old Mother has the same issue..and She watches daytime telly..Now I can get back to "educating myself and getting off the couch",calling my new found attorney about the delay for my SSI payments,Make room in garage for new scooter chair(Do the british make one?),get those tv ears for my hearing problems, order my case of adult depends, etc.Maybe those other adds are not so bad!
life is good..I am retired..sold my America in 2008,bought a Rocket and sold that in 3/2013 and now own a new Triumph Bonneville T-100

Amen to that brother. Personally I hope we get everything we have coming to us, good and hard, because we deserve it.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

So Larry, who'd ya do yesterday?
(...or was the above tellin' me everything I needed to know?)
(oh, and BTW....and I ALSO have to say that the above was a far cry from the VERY GRACIOUS and VERY INSPIRING concession speech which "somebody" gave yesterday, dude!)

Go ahead and gloat. I'm pretty sure the crow eating feast will be well underway within a year.

So then...what are Austrailia's immigration laws like?
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

Nope Larry, you didn't see me say anything here before your post except my expressing exasperation with the political process in this thread, and specifically the TELEVISION ADS thrown at us by ALL of those folks who want our votes during this process.
NOPE! I wasn't "gloating" there, ol' buddy! I was calling attention to your rather UN-gracious attitude in regard to how this election turned out, as COMPARED to what I can only assume to be your candidate's VERY GRACIOUS and HOPE-FILLED speech which he gave.
However, you will probably be correct to a certain extent in regard to the future performance the gentleman who did garner more votes yesterday, as the so-called "Honeymoon Period" of EVERY President ever elected does INDEED come to its eventual and inevitable end, and that's ALWAYS when the ol' excrement hits that ol' rotating prop for 'em, as you appear to know.
And so, now that THAT is covered...How DID your candidacy for office go yesterday anyway???
(and don't worry, I WON'T "gloat" or throw "sour grapes" at you WHICHEVER way it went!...I was ONLY interested in knowing because I consider you my friend, AND you are a member in good standing around here and I'll bet there are many other people around here who'd be interested in knowing how it turned out for you yesterday...THAT'S ALL!!!)

The last thing I'm going to say (here) is about the people, not the politics: The sour grapes are extra-extra sour this morning on the intarwebs. The losers are as bitter as the winners are ecstatic.
Over? It's just begining...
