Hi all.
Just a quick question can anyone help. if i remove the snorkle or just even cut off the last couple of inches after pulling it off the airbox. will it change the sound of the bike.
i have Staintunes fitted and rejet with 125,s

hey Herbz, the first "mod" I did after removing AI was pulling the snorkle, removed around 1000 miles. Made a huge difference in intake noise around 2500rpm and up. Note this was done before install of t-pipes. Don't know how much noise difference there will be with pipes currently installed like yours, but made a difference for sure on mine. Seat of the pants dyno noted a improvement in accel too, though not as dramatic a change as when the pipes and 132 jets were installed.

I say go for it, it's only a few minute mod and fully reversable as long as you don't chop it up to reinstall...:)

Pull it and ride it. If you like it, u can always trim the snorkle later, but just pulling it is totally reversible. With pipes on there, you'd have a hard time hearing it.

Yes, there will be a subtle change in the sound. You won't notice it so much with your pipes, but it will have a rather nice kind of rumbling undertone. You'll also gain something on the order of 3 to 6 HP.
