The title says it all. I was in the Publix today and they are now stocking the Lager, black and tan and another I can't remember. I picked up three twelve packs before looking down at my daughter. She had this astonished look on her face that made me put two cases back.... for now! So this just adds another reason to attend the Ga rally.... Yuengling on demand!!! Or you can choose to drink Boone's Farm with Mark..... ride safe...Gordon

Nice! Yuengling's officially my first choice in domestic beer. Try the Porter if you can find it. One of these days we're going to tour the brewery in Pottsville, PA.

Ok, Gordon, so this is my newest excuse as to why I didn't make it to this year's past GA rally; its the best one so far haha...I may have to drive 50 miles, but we CAN get the black and tan here in western NC (well worth the long drive back strapped down to the gills with nature's nectar LOL) Lee

Yuengling is one of the reasons that I like to visit the NE area. We now get Leinenkuegel here in Little Rock. These are two of the best examples of small(ish) American brew lines.

Man I miss the Lager. They need to start sending it to the midwest. Whenever I go back to Delaware to visit the parents I try to bring back a couple cases (unless I fly). Leine's is ok, but just not the same.

Yuengling's been here for years - his name is Dave and he works at Lowe's in Griffin . He and his wife are friends .
He's distant kin to those brewers from Pa .

At least you are in a state where you can actually buy beer in a supermarket. In the people's republik of Pennsylvania (home to Yuengling) we have to go to a bar or six-pack shop if we want a six pack. Cases come from a beer distributor only. Wine and liquor from the state-owned store. Thankfully, I live in the southeast corner of the state and shop in New Jersey or Delaware.
Sorry for ranting, I love Yuengling - I just hate that they make it difficult to get it here! I should be able to get milk, bread and beer all in the same place!

I live about 5 miles from PA, always thought that was a strange way to sell beer. Here in MD, we cannot buy beer or wine in the grocery store, but all alcoholi beverages are sold thru liquor stores, which are on every block. We're also 5 miles from WVA. I now drive to the new Super Walmart near Martinsburg for booze. They sell their own label wine for $2/bottle. My wife and neighbors are pretty much wine snobs and they think it's pretty good. The beer is also considerably cheaper there. Screw MD and our 6% sales tax! Quote:

It gets even better. Pennsylvania is the largest single purchaser of alcoholic beverages in the United States (largest state-controlled system). You would think that it would therefore offer the lowest prices, right? WRONG! There is a bloated state-system of warehouses and state operated stores with state employees. The private enterprise stores in Delaware and New Jersey which purchase on a much smaller scale are able to offer better selection and lower prices. Again, I feel bad for the folks in the center of the state who can't get to a better place. Still on my

Hey, at least you could buy SOME beer if you wanted it. Tuesdays ballot just past beer and wine sales in the unincorporated areas of White County up here in north Ga. So soon I will be able to go to our new Wal-Mart and not have to drive 20 miles to Dahlonega (Lumpkin Cty)to get my booze! Ain't America great!

You're going to love their prices, but the selection is a little weak if you enjoy the oddball stuff. Quote:
