If yes, where is it?
Thanks

You can tell by the VIN number, I remember reading it here somewhere, when Triumph started building them in Thailand..

I know all the UK models are built in England, but if I recall the US models are being built in Thailand now as for Australia no idea

From what I understand all the parallel twins are being assembeled in Tailand and I am pretty sure that started mid-2006 model year.

The Tai people take great pride in their work and along with Triumph overseeing the work, the quality is still top notch.

That's true for most Asian countries. Products from Thailand, Taiwan and Korea are generally pretty good. Mainland China is the exception, and that's the result of decades of repression. Most craftsmen and artisans were killed or turned into peasant farmers by Mao.

Yep! But can you REALLY blame "Ol' Moon Face" for doin' that, Jack???

I mean, maybe he was just tryin' to give those Chinese "elitists" over there at the time some "good small town values", dude???!!!

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

If I remember right couldn't you tell if the 16th(?) character was a J then the bike was made in England, if it was a T then it was made in Thailand.

The 11th character will have a J for Hinkley England and a T for Thailand. Late 06 to present other the England will most likely have a T.

In the 17 digit VIN, the first three denote the country of manufacture and the manufacturer with the first being the country. For example, my '03 TBA starts with SMT, meaning Great Britain, Triumph.
Google up VIN to confirm.

Thanks for the info. Seems that my bike was also made in Pommy land with the SMT prefix. Given world geography I would have thought that it would have been made in T/land, much closer to Australia.
I was also Made in England so it's fitting.

I think I read a thread about this on another board and it was decided that Saxtron reasoning is correct. I remember one person saying all motors where built in GB but I can not confirm that rumor
