Hi All

One of my first posts on here and I've got a question for you. I'm about to get an 09-model America and would like to get hold of a rev-counter for it.

Is it just a case of taking out the blanking piece and plugging the rev-counter in? Also I've seen an 06-model one on E-Bay. Will this one work with my 09, EFId bike?

Thanks,

Lee 08-model EFI America - Pacific/Aegean Blue

Hi Lee, yes it should still work as the wiring loom to plug it in is under the center console. Three allen screws to undo the console and plug n play...

Better off getting a clock and go by sound/speed to know when to shift. The position and size of the tach in the console makes it almost unusable, but it does looks better than the blanking plate...

Thanks Ray

I've put a bid in for the one on E-bay. Triumph want 100 Pounds for one so I'm going to try and get this one for a bit less, particularly as it's so easy to fit as you say.

Looking forward to getting my hands on it now!

Hi Ray

I'm based in Gosport, HANTS, but am away with the old work during the week.

Cut the tabs off the cover plate , it makes a cool badge for various places on yer bike , I made me a tool bag emblem out of mine .

I removed the rear pillion and used the cover plate to hide the bolt hole.
Welcome aboard, by the way.

You ain't talkin' about the 'Merican Navy are ya.... a little slow here, I too wanted the tach, but it is in such a place as to require you to take your eyes off the road to see it! It was interesting to learn what the bike was turning at different sounds. I thought I was really pushing the limiter, before I installed the tach, to find out I was shifting at 5K and thinking that was aggressive....Ride safe!

Bought mine on 9-6-08.
The standard price, which was $160, increased to $190 everywhere EXCEPT @ "motorcyclegearshops.com". They are still $160, but probably not for long. Better jump boy!

I see that I've just been outbid on the E-bay one I was after.

Oh well... Perhaps I'll just buy it from the Triumph stealer where I live!

A number of people have installed this one.
Fits perfectly in stock hole, comes with handlebar mount also.

I've just tried again but keep getting outbid.

Someone must really want it!

Still, there'll always be another one to come along.
