Hi All
I've just ordered my new 09-model America which I pick up in 2 weeks time. I'm really looking forward to it as it'l be my first cruiser and will be used mainly for rideouts with my wife on her 883 Low.
The bike will be totally standard so I'm keen to hear what people's suggestions are for good mods to make.
Thanks,
Lee

Hi Lee first a big welcome to the best source of information on the internet for your bike bro. I have spent at least a few thousand pounds over the years and by far the best investment is the progressive shocks and springs. Everything else I have put on really is cosmetic but makes the bike look good. Checkout Eddy and Brent for bits n pieces to add to your bike. I'm sure you will get different opinions for silencers to make your America sounds like a Triumph rather than a sewing machine..

Welcome aboard Lee. There is seemingly an endless amount of knowledge and experience in these forums; you won't be disappointed and don't be afraid to ask. By your screen name, I'd like to ask if you're still active? If so, where are you located? Just a bit on the curious side.
2005 America, green/gray, gutted stock pipes, tall sissy bar w/ luggage rack, Saddleman's dual touring seat and Tourmaster saddlebags (and sissybar bag).

Congrats!!! I would go for any upgrades to the suspension and new pipes. Every bike needs a nice bark to it!!

Thanks for all the replies.
I'm in the Royal Navy and yes I am still serving (And will be for a long time yet).
Apart from exhausts I'm thinking of luggage. Anyone got any specific suggestions with regards to these two areas? I like the look of the TOR slash cut pipes and they sound good too.

Hi Lee
plenty of choice for luggage, I have the Saddleman Jubo drifters on mine with Easy brackets.
Checkout Brents site (link above) for hard bags
