Seems I really need glasses these days so I have a new prescription and need to get them. I figured I would do it now and not wait for next year. Does anybody have any recomendations for good riding glasses at a good price?

Shockingly, I was happy with the ones I got from Wal-Mart. Can't remember what they're called off the top of my head, but they're sort of Wiley-x style, and they have that padding around the edges and kept the wind out fairly well - plus they come in the Transitions light-adjusting lenses, same as my regular glasses. Heckuva bargain, considering I paid more for my non-prescription Panoptix that supposedly light-adjust but not so I'd notice. I'll probably get a non-prescription pair of the Wal-Mart ones for when I have my contacts in.

Big Todd, I had the same situation this year after using Sunglasses that fit over my regular glasses. I went to my optician and bought a pair of Ray-Ban 3269 frames and had my prescription put into them. Got the transition lenses and could not be happier. A small amount of wind gets past them but overall I am satisfied with the result. I wear these all day and night as my regular glasses.

Went with the large frame Oakleys. They are not cheap but the are impact resistant and polarized. But....Got tired of the whole nightime/daytime thing and went ahead and got contact lens. This allows me to use my face shield/goggles/sunglasses/whatever. Since I don't wear them every day it's taking a little while to get used to putting a foreign object on my eyeballs. But it makes riding more enjoyable for me.

Prescription & windproof, etc. If you're interested, the Wiley X transition lenses in amber (as in brown, not yellow) go from fully clear, to very dark -- at 2 extremes that I haven't seen in traditional grey / green transition lenses from other suppliers. More yapping - I was bothered by the bifocal line vs. my mirrors at night, but that may just be me. Conventional glasses starting at $39 I've had good service from both suppliers. The $39 glasses don't always have the fanciest frames, but the optics seem correct, and the prices sure are right.

They have the EXACT same frames I'm wearing! I paid 285! They have them for 50! Unbeliveable.

I have a pair of wileyx airrage with prosception and transition lens they come with a removable face seal, they work great 80mph at 32 degrees. Also they meet z-87 spec so they are great for safety. I use them on my bike day/night in the rain and on the range I dont have to switch lens or carry other googles. I reccomed the "tactical/ climate control section."
