Okay, I admit that I get irritated over some parts of what I do for a living, but MOST of the time, I'm pretty grateful. I'm paid pretty well for working out of an office in my house, and I travel to anywhere I like. Last night was not an exception to the grateful part. I'm presently in Orlando for a business aircraft tradeshow (the BIG show) for the fourteenth time. It isn't all fun and games, but last night it was. One of the major exhibitors hosted a party at the Hard Rock Cafe. In fact, they rented the whole place, but the really cool part was that the party included a 2 hour concert by Jimmy Buffet and his band with open bar. This particular exhibitor is known for its parties, and usually it's an open bar, pub grub, and free T-shirt event. After last night, I'll take the Buffet over a T-shirt anytime. The guy sure looked like he was having as good a time as anyone in the audience.

When I die, I want to come back as Jimmy Buffet!

Has anyone else here seen this guy perform?

(yep John...saw him at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip a few years back...and you're right...he was havin' a blast on stage, alright....and so was the guy sittin' behind me)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I saw Buffet about 15 years ago and it is still one of the mst memorable shows I have ever been to. Given the chance I will do it again.

Cant remember ever hearing Jimmy Buffet, but I saw a Woody Herman band concert at the USO once.

He is always at his best in small venues like that. I saw him a couple times at Margaritaville for a surprise concert. Just him with a guitar.

Of course he is a big aircraft buff so it probably did not take too much persuading to get him to perform there.

Always a good time at the big concerts too...

Wish he was running for President!!!
