I've been away for a few weeks recently .... I've been moving in with Wendy (Wenster) and her two kids (not to mention the cat and 10 chickens!!).

I've been living by myself for the last 5 years so it's been a big step for all of us.

Those Brits and the few guys and gals that met us at Dwight's in May will know how lucky I am.

The kids are great (girl 5 ... going on 15!!! and boy 11).

I left my old house on Thursday but I get a weeks grace to empty my rubbish from the garage!!
Wish us luck, actually, wish THEM luck!

So - it takes you a few weeks to move in and you still havent emptied your garage!!!

Haven't met Wendy yet

but anyone who can put up with your snoring must either be deaf or seriously luvv'd up!! ( As well as being blind )

Good luck to you all - (especially the chickens - handy for a midnight snack)

I guess this means a sidecar on the Tractor then does it??

Eeh! You two won't need any luck at all. I could tell from the moment I met you and Wendy out there in the middle of nowhere that one warm and sunny day in Arizona that you two made a great couple!!!

Just remember to always keep those warm and sunny feelings you have toward each other within sight!

(oh...and your gas cap within sight at all times TOO!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Congratulations to you, to Wendy, to the great kids, the cat and the "step-chickens"? Life is way too short to spend it anything other than happy.

Congratulations A,

No wise cracks from me this time, I'm really happy for you.

I sincerely hope you both find continued happiness. May you ride together into contentment.

Does this mean you'll be less grumpy now

Took a couple of weeks to be fair.
Too many years of keeping crap in boxes in the loft etc.
Getting rid of it all has been very cathartic!

Good on ya mate hope things stay rosie,
you will at least have the chickens to go and rant to when neccessary, and the hen house can be mighty comfy when needed.............. same as my stables!!! I can share with the tiger if needed.
Seriously, glad you took that BIG decision........ and she likes bikes too,,,, a bonus!!!! Hang on a minute maybe it is the bikes and not you.
Cheers, Mike.

Chickens! You too huh. Anna has 33 or 34, I think. They are all pets so none will become dinner around here. Congrats on the move, life is good. BTW, where is Aldridge?

We had 6 chucks last Christmas Eve.
Foxes put pay to 4 of 'em.
One broke it's own neck ... don't ask!
Left us with one.
Wendy got a rescued battery hen to keep it company and we've had two further lots of 4, 2 yr old rescued battery hens.
10 is enough as we get 6 - 9 eggs a day from them!
Like you, they are pets and not intended for the pot just yet.

Aldridge is a couple of miles from Walsall in the West Midlands.

Sounds good to me, I haven't regretted the last four months for one second since Nancy and Adam moved in.

That's the one.
I disagree with the 'strong taste' bit.
It seemed to me that it's really mild and could get a bloke into a lot of trouble!!
