ok well have them in with the triumph windshield and i could ride 70 on the highway all day long. windnoise was cut down and the bike is a joy on the highway. who would of thought 2 small pieces of plastic could do so much

Frank: Where did you wind up positioning yours? I tried several different places and finally found the best results about 4" down from the lower fork bracket. This seemed to reduce the buffeting the best.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger......and then it hit me.

gotta question for you guys..... I got my Memphis Shooter windshield yesterday. Nice piece, I'm pretty impressed with the quality. Anyway, bolted it on today and took it for a spin... bike was already filthy from yesterday's run so what's a little rain. Windshield worked great, I could definitely tell the difference. I took a little rake out of it for the trip home and better yet. The one thing I noticed though is I got some wierd "updraft" action going on..... like my moustache kept flying up my nose. Odd feeling as you might imagine. Tried a few more positions on the rake but nothing stopped it. Sooooo, will the lowers do away with this phenomonon? I guess since my top section of my fork tubes are still exposed due to the design of the shield I would mount them there? Tell me what you think, didn't plan on shaving but I don't want to have to keep itchin' my nose!

What kind of shield do you have? When I slide my lowers all the way up I had buffetting from air flow coming up the side of the tank area into my face.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger......and then it hit me.

It's air that comes from under the sheild, around the forks. Some of us found out in a similar manner by putting your left arm across your chest, it cuts out most of the buffet. The lowers take care of most of it.

Always like the idea of choices... here's another place that has some good pricing on Memphis stuff. Lowers are the same price put you can save some coin on the hardware.
