what is the latest, greatest, chain oil to use that clings to the chain best?

I use what they sell at the Honda shop. Stays on the chain and will not sling off. Some people use chain wax.

I have tried several and like PJ1 blue label the best. It clings and hardly flings. You may have to look around at motorcycle shops in your area to find it but to me its worth the effort. Harley shops where I live carries the PJ1 blue label. I think that Brent and Fast Eddy carries that brand of chain lube if you like to order it online.

White Lithium spray grease

Used the PJ-1 blue label and did a good job, but seemed to feel tacky on the chain. Last time I cleaned my chain switched to Bel-Ray's Super Clean Chain Lube and so far really like it. Doesn't feel tacky and doesn't seem to attract dirt and grime.

90w gear oil. it also helps add a layer of protective film over most of the wheel too!

Used to use PJ-1 but it slings too much. Chain Wax is the way to go!

I've tried so many different ones that I've lost track.

ProGold MFR chain lube.
Cleans the chain then dries and leaves a non-sticky lube film.

Chain wax builds up under the front sprocket cover and makes a real mess, not to mention holding all the grit to act like a grinding compound... JMHO - YRMV

I like Maxxum Chain wax. It stays put pretty well and seems to last. It's a little tougher to clean off the chain but the chain stays cleaner.

DuPont multi-use chain lube. Works great.

get yourself a Scottoiler and dispense completely with the chain wax.

Let the Scottoiler do the work on a constant basis. I have run a scottoiler on my existing chain and sprockets and with nearly 26K on that chain its still going strong.

Chain wax is OK if you like to jack up your bike and lube it yourself every 350 to 400 miles. The chain wax simply cannot compare to the Scottoiler for performance and longevity of your chain and sprockets.

The advertisements for the Scottoiler are no joke.

I have used a few until I came across Maxima Chain Wax.

By far the best I have used, I used it on my Daytona and now on my Speedy. I have white walls so fling off is a big issue for me.
I think the key is giving the chain and sprocket a good clean with kerosene first then go for a 5 minute ride to warm the chain up and give it a coating, let it set for a while and then wipe the chain with a rag to get rid of any excess

I don't use chain oil. I prefer chain lube & like Yamaha spray chain lube. It is relatively inexpensive, runs clean, & does not sling off. I didn't like either PJ1 Blue (slings off) or PJ1 Black (slings less, but what does sling is black).

Yeah i read that. the operative dealer is Tucker Rocky. Seems to me that a bicycle shop will have it. Come on, where did you buy it? A kawahonasakama stealer? Heck Chain wax is good, but like you said the front sprocket holds that stuff like a new mothers child on a teat.
