Probably too general a question, but I'd like my America to sound like a older Bonnie. Is this possible?

Probably not since it's firing @ 270° and the originals fire 360°

You can get close to the volume with various aftermarket pipes but you won't get that same sound.

I have a t-100 (360deg) with aftermarket cans that are older bonnie replacements. It sounds great to me, and I get positive comments on the way it sounds all the time.
However, it does not sound that much like an older one if you know the sound. Probably the overhead cam gives it a different note.

My freind rides his '69 Trophy 650 all the time. Its nearly the same as a Bonneville. Its pretty quiet. Now if I can put the exuast note aside and listen to the chugging of the engine, I'd say it dosn't sound at all like our modern bikes.

No matter what, as stated above, you won't get that sound due to the 270º vs. the 360º crank. The old twins had the 360º ours don't. The new Bonnie and T-100 bikes do and I have heard a couple of them with a similar sound to the old bikes.
