Tried to find an old post on this but nada.My front tire is going so I need to get one.I think I saw Dunlap was a good brand and someone went bigger on the size? Also what is the biggest we can go on the back rim without mods? 200?? I've got around 12,000 miles on my America now.

Dunlop is good, Metzler is good. I personally like Avon best.

I just put some new rubber on mine. The front tire was in good shape but the rear was looking a little light on the tread. They were the Dunlop whitewalls. I put them on at 18k and just changed them at 34k. I went with the Maxxis whitewalls this time….

Just put on some Avons and the bike seems much happier. Handles better too!

Just replaced the OEM front with a D404 Dunlop 100/90-18. Big improvement in handling. about $100 for tire installed with ballancing. Needed new front brake pads also.
Blue '03 TBA, Made in England. (50+ mpg).

Avon Venoms are the only way to go as far as I'm concerned.

As you can see Wizard everyone has a different opinion. I searched and researched the forum and concluded there are several good options. In the end I went with Metzler ME880's, love em' handling is vastly improved over stock tires. They had as many positive reviews as Avons and were a little less of an impact on the wallet.
