This just came across Craigslist Montana: "I'm looking for the guy i sold my Triumph chopper, i believe it was a '76 tiger hardtail, had a candy red tank and fender at the time, with black frame. Just wanting to know what ever happened to it. I think it was a guy out of Florence or Stevi that came up to frenchtown to buy it from me. If you know of or have the bike, i'd like to get in touch and maybe see some pictures, this was the first bike i built and just want to see how it is doing. thanks"

I can relate, I spend a lot of time restoring a '62 box sprite to factory spec. Sold it to get married, and wonder how its doing etc...

Always wondered what happened to my '61 XLCH chopper sold in '83 to some meth-head (probably don't want to know...). Doubt a Craigslist add would provide a result, but I guess stranger things have happened. He'd be better off posting to the Jockey Journal, particuarly if he had a picture. They've found a few old previously owned bikes.

I often wondered what happened to my 66 Impala convertable and my 63 VW bug, both were fun cars. The bug had a 914 engine and trans in it. Kind of wonder what happened to my Suckzuki GT550 too.

I can relate to this guy. Back when I was a single 21 year old I had to sell my beloved Mustang GT because of the insurance ($1800/yr). I had reocurring dreams about buying the car back for what I sold it for after the guy completely abused it.
Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.

I can relate. Years ago, I bought an old broken down chopper with a 73 750 tiger motor in it. It had no working brakes, barely ran. I think I paid $300 for it. I totally worked it over and wound up riding it daily for nearly ten years. One of the best bikes I ever owned. After I built my customized "57" and rebuilt a 68 bonneville, I never rode it hardly and traded it for a 61 TR3 project car. A couple of years later, I saw an old rat, broken down piece of junk in the back of my dealers repair shop and commented on it. The mechanic said, "he77, don't you recognize that bike, its your old bike." Crap, when I sold it, it had a beautiful customized paint scheme and was clean as a whistle. That really hurt some. Sometimes, I wish I could find it back and rebuild it. I feel sorry for the old girl.
