So in the last two weeks My wife kicked me out,( I didn't do anything wrong, she just doesn't love me anymore!?! ) and my best friend died of a heart attack at 33 years old. I've been so depressed that I haven't even felt like riding my bike, and that's the only outlet I have. I guess i'm just looking for a little encouragement. These are probably the darkest days of my life.
I've been with my wife for 7 years and before her I was married for ten years. I really hadn't planned on being alone at this point in life. What to do?
I've put it in Gods hands and I know life will go on, but it sure is depressing right now.

Man, that's a rough time. Sorry to hear of your friend, that's way too young for that to happen.

Well see? Dog's are great. Your day is looking up already! And your life hasn't completely turned into a country song.

That's indeed a rough time. If I were in your shoes I would take some time off and visit my family; the best support a person can ever have. Like Bucky said above, storms passes.

I actually work with my mom and dad, and they are supportive, but this is still tough! I mean, you know, a man has needs that mom and dad just can't meet. Plus I used up all my time off when I had surgery back in March.

I hear ya, I was going to suggest to take a vacation to Costa Rica (beautiful, cheap and errmmm needs can be met easily and no I've never been there but a friend goes there every year and he loves it!) but you have no time... so... the next best thing, get together with these fellas and go ride! You just need to take your mind off problems for a little while, give your brain a break as it must be in hyperdrive right now.

So whats your secret, I mean just how did you go about getting the wife to leave?Sounds to me like a good excuse
to take about a month off from work, and make head clearing tour of the south..."Boss look, I realy need to get my life back in order, See you in November".

Hang in there and stay away from the bottle.

What to do?

Just follow these simple steps...

1. Get off the ****** computer
2. Head on down to the local watering hole...bike or car depending on your view of the topic
3. Proceed to drink copious amounts of bourbon till the wee hours of the morning (a few here will recommend Elija Craig 18 y/o)
4. Find yourself some haybag (whiskey dick should have set in by now) and voila...you ain't so lonely anymore
5. Thank your good ole buddy Rex for the great advice

LOL! I'm more of a ganja fan, however it doesn't help make a haybag look good.

In that case, I suggest a bit of both...but make sure you smoke before you drink...or the night can get a bit messy!

Sympathies, my friend. I remember when....years ago, as I was living through ten years of purgatory with my ex, I always kept this in mind. In this country, you can always totally leave everything and start over. My first choice would have been Australia. It would be incredibly hard to leave all the family connections and stuff, lots of stuff. But I sure kept it in mind, and it helped keep me sane. For some of us on this planet, the choice is available. (Plan B worked out for me, got a great second wife and ten years, last month, of good livin and lovin).

Bummer Dude, at least she didn't wait until you were married 25 years and you are 50 something to end it. You got a lot ahead of you. A better one will come along.

oops.. I guess going out for oysters was a mistake.
I enjoyed the short ride and getting to meet someone from the board.
We'll have to do this again sometime.
