Went down to get my 6,000 mi. check up today and got a loaner bike from the dealer. They hooked me up with a Triumph Scrambler, (brand new almost) and I had a blast. It's not the kind of bike I'd buy mind you, but it was fun to buzz around on. It was a lot like riding an old fashioned bike with the straight seat. And it sits higher than a regular Bonneville T100 does, almost tip-toe to hold up at a stop, but there is a big difference in acceleration from my America. I would guess it's a lot lighter, because when I rolled the throttle on, I thought it was going to do a wheelie. It was very nimble in handling and shifted through the gears like hot butter. I would like very much if my bike shifted like that. Anyway, I guess if all I did was run around town, or city driving, a bike like that would be very practical and .....Oh ya, the beach, It would be perfect for the beach, I would consider getting one. But, since I don’t, my BA. is more suited to what I want in a bike and it's way more comfortable to ride.
