I was excited to see the "Cruise Control" thread in the Vendor forum. Then I realized it was really only a throttle lock. Does anyone make cruise control for our bikes?

you can get a universal setup but it will be a bit of work. the throttle lock should do almost anything you need

Audiovox makes one (real cruise control) that has been used on a number of bikes. I looked at it but was not in a guinea pig mood so am going with the brakeaway throttle lock.

Real cruise controls tend to work best on EFI engines. It is possible to do it on a carburated engine but not much room to work with under our tanks.

Yeah, I like a large O-Ring also. You can't even tell it is there for the most part. I forget about it all the time and forget to use it!
