Just thought I would take a minute to introduce myself. Been looking at Bonnie America/Speedmasters for awhile now. Finally found a good deal on an 03 SM the other day. Drove across the state and road it home. Put about 200 miles on the first day. My 4th Trumpet and I love it.

The missus likes it as well, but she says the Speedmaster seat as got to go. I have looked around and I think the best option is an 07/08 seat and passenger pad. The question is will the 07 America seats fit on the 03 Speedmaster. Any one know?

thanks,

Yankee Dog

Get the Triumph Touring seat. The pillon pad is way more comfy than the stock seat. They can be found on Flea-bay quite often. I put one on My 03 Speedy and the Wife was VERY happy......

Welcome! And, yes. I traded my 04 Speedy seat for late model America. They fit great and my wife says they are very comfortable!

I don't know of anyone who keeps that gunslinger if they will be carrying passengers.. I got the triumph touring seat when purchased my '04 speedy. Much nicer for your passenger, bout the same for the driver. Later on, I wound up getting a corbin combo w/backrest. I'm not sure which one I like more.. the touring seat IMO is a bit too padded, which results in monkey butt quicker.. the corbin is much firmer, allowing for longer periods of riding, but it pushes you closer to the tank, which is not as comfortable for my legs. As for your passenger, both are a world of difference from the stock gunslinger!

Cheers,
Brad

Obviously the guy who designed that seat must be single. If you are putting the single seats off the America on a Speedy you will need the bolt so you can attach the passenger seat to the riders..

Welcome YD , I see from your profile that your name is actually Yankee Dog . Wow ! Keep your Speedy seat for the looks and for the misses , get the touring seat . I'm pretty sure it'll fit , a guy here has a daughter that said it was "squishy and delightful".

Get a knurled seat bolt and you can change 'em out in 45 seconds .

As the father of that very daughter and the proud owner of just such a knurled bolt (thanks Wade!) I concur. For two up, the touring seat just plain rocks.

Thom I might be wrong, I sometimes am.

Welcome!!

I have the touring seat on my bike and have never had any complaints from passengers.
