$89.00 plus tax from you local Autozone. They had it in stock at mine. I will warn you that it has the worlds worst asembly instructions..........Took me 20 mins to assemble. Seems sturdy and lifted my Speedy with ease.It comes with 2 tie downs. Good bang for the buck in my opinion.Time will tell.

That's pretty much identical to my Jet brand lift. It's be neat to find out who really makes this as a OEM item for all of those badges...

Exactly the same as the craftsman from Sears. I think they are all made at the same factory in china and painted differently for different suppliers.

If you have your receipt go in and ask for the rebate form, you may still be able to get it. You may even be able to get a copy of your receipt from them. If not return it then buy a new one!

I refuse to risk my valued machinery with cheap junk from China. Every floor jack, scissors jack and jackstand I own is made in USA. They'll still be in service long after all this other rubbish is rustin' away in the landfill.

Ok,so i went to Checker and got the flyer.Their reg price is $79.99($10 cheaper that Autozone)plus a $30 mail in rebate special making it $49.99. Took the flyer and my reciept to Autozone. They originaly said they would only match it to the reg price $79.99.Thats not good enough. Long story short, after some negtiation Autozone gave me the $49.99 price. Bottom line is; good on Autozone for doing the right thing, but if you want a bike lift Checker is the place to get it right now.

My Harbor Freight lift is identical to every one of similar construction I have seen including the supposedly "made is USA" Craftsman. I think they all come off the same assembly line just like Evenrude and Johnson outboards back in the day. There used to be a big debate about what motor was better when they both came from the same factory with a different shroud and paint. Same here with these jacks and mine has served me very well so far.

Not to belabor the point, but I'm reasonably certain Sears does not claim the Craftsman jack to be made in USA. It's Chinese, just like much of the rest of the current catalog. Anyway, you won't hear me debating the merits of one Chinese brand over another. That would be oxymoronic.

I thought all Craftsman stuff was supposed to be made in the US. That and my point was not to debate one over the other but that I believe they are all the same. I too buy made in USA when I feel the product warrants it like my Atlas lathe or my Williams hand tools. Sometimes I buy Chink junk because I know I am going to destroy the tool because of the job or id the tool is so cheap I could buy 3 or 4 for the same price like my 1/2" hand drill. It cost me $40 and has been a tough tool believe it or not but my thinking at the time was I could buy 4 or 5 of those for the price of 1 really good one. Most of my tools are top quality and I wouldn't ever skimp where it matters. All my micrometers , dial indicators, depth gauges, etc... are all top of the line made in USA tools most of which are almost as old as me and good as the day they were made and calibrated regularly.

Maybe that's still true if it actually has the Craftsman label. I'm not sure. All I know is that many of the consumer type jacks and other items at Sears are now marked made in China. I guess I just take a different approach to tools. There's nothing I hate more than being in the middle of a job and having the tool break. That has happened to me *every* time I've purchased a Chinese tool, although I admit I haven't owned very many (for that reason). I only buy them when there is no alternative at any price (like the oil filter remover for my F150, which couldn't be a simpler device but still broke apart on the third oil change). Under no circumstances will I slide under a cage or lift a valued MC with tools of that quality.
There are other reasons I don't buy Chinese products, but they fall into OT areas that don't belong here. Incidentally, "Chink" is a racial slur. I'm sure you didn't mean anything by it, but because it's now part of the thread, I want to mention that my objections to Chinese imports have absolutely nothing to do with the Chinese people. I've visited China several times and lived there nearly a year. The citizenry suffers under a government too foul for words, but it's otherwise an interesting place with a friendly population and a great amount of unique history.

Was just faster to type Chink than Chinese , no slur intended.I never thought of the racial connotation, we call the buffets "Chink Joints" here among my friends.

1. You can't possibly plead ignorance on that one. 2. Is typing two more characters really that big of an inconvenience?

I didn't plead ignorance I just never really thought of it as a racial slur. I can think of a few that I would though. Not to mention I really don't give a cr ap if it's racist or not.

If you want an education, read the reviews on the Craftsman Lift. The majority of them state that the actual jack part fails rather quickly and is not repairable or that there are no repair parts for it.
Yes! I am a Redneck. Any Problems?

I'm not sure what's going on with the Craftsman jack but mine has worked fine the half-dozen times I use it. I wonder if the people complaining are jacking it up and making the jack hold the bike in the air for long periods rather than using the stopper bar thing and taking the pressure off the jack?
