I don't know where to post this but, I guess the lounge will do. Big props to Cycle Riders in Cape Canaveral, Florida, for treating me right with my 2006 TBA. I got sent to them by word-of-mouth and they measured up. If anybody is a House of Power refugee looking for a shop that will work on your Hinckley Triumph, Mike at Cycle Riders in Cape Canaveral is a good man. If you're down in Melbourne, Florida, I've been given the good word on AL&L Motorcycle Specialists by a shop that doesn't work on Triumphs but knew who did. Haven't used them yet (too far away for me) but thought I'd throw in a well-deserved plug for AL&L, too.

Jim, Was Mike able to work on your sickle there or did he have to take it to Cape Canaveral? His store is in Cocoa Beach. Also did turning out the Air mixture screws fix your problem? Man I forgot all about it after I got back from the NH Rally. Next time PM me or call.

This is good information....surprises me though. I know that Cycle Riders of Orlando/Longwood has gotten a bad rep (Moe can confirm this). Cycle Riders of Orlando/Longwood has changed to "RideNow Powersports". Anyway, I have just purchased a 2000 Thunderbird, and it has some issues...I would have taken it to a shop, but since I don't have much faith in the Triumph shops here in Orlando, I may just try out Mike...If I do, I'll let him know you spoke highly of him...or maybe I'll mess with it myself. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a website like this one dedicated to the classic triples...

Where in Cape Canaveral is Cycle Riders? The only Cycle Riders I know of is the dealer in Orlando, and I wouldn't recommend them for repair work.

You're right, it isn't like here but you could try this one: http://www.triumphrat.net/hinckley-classic-triples/

Robert!
Long time no see. You ready for a valve adjustment yet? I do know that the Thunderbirds have ignition coil issues. Moe

Hey Moe! Can't say I've been riding much lately...still only around 6k miles on it...I'll let you know when I'm ready though. Pretty sure the T-bird issue is bad gas...filler neck paint peeling going on too. Thanks for the heads up on the coils, I have heard that also...and it could be related possibly. Hope you are doing well, maybe we can get a ride in one of these days.

Hey Moe, sorry about the slow reply. He takes his work to Cape Canaveral. That's fine with me. Mike found exhaust leaks where the pipe bolts to the head and both TOR pipes where they slide onto the headers. That fixed most of the burbling. There's still some but not nearly as much. The carbs were also out of sync and he fixed that. I'll leave the carbs alone unless the oil companies start putting more corn likker in the crap they claim to call gasoline!
If Mike is a Cycle Riders franchisee, it's not apparent at all. You walk into the store and it's like an independent shop.

Hey Radiator, the Cycle Riders in Orlando is probably no worse than the one in Palm Bay. As I mentioned to Moe, this store in Cocoa Beach looks and feels like an independent. Only on the ticket would you know he was a Cycle Riders USA franchisee. House of Power refugees eventually find Mike.
