They fired up the CERN and, according to BBC news, it didn't do anything bad. No mini black holes swallowing up the solar system or any such thing. So, either the doom sayers were wrong or even nature doesn't want France.

(with Soundgarden playing in the background...)
The black hole created is microscopic but will soon start expanding until it ultimately consumes this arm of our galaxy.

Gotta love those doom sayers. Years ago when Stephenson was working on his Rocket (the worlds first Locomotive) scientists of the day believed that 'If man traveled at speeds in excess of 13 MPH he would surely suffocate'. I guess they got that wrong

sceitists of the day believe a lot of goofy crap...unfortuanaly most people believe them.
But I understand that if I cover myself in mayonaise it will prevent me from being sucked into any small black hole.

Tryed that but seems I get insect infestation under my foil hat. I can't have that. It interfers with the signal jamming and I don't want probed again.

I used to run Lionel Trains at high speed in oposit directions toward each other, but no thing ever happend other than the red giant that was my rear end after my father caught me with his trains.
But in all seriousness, we have a pool going on at work. I bought all the "42" squares. Cheers to those that know what that means.
