Gear lever adjustment

Just a quicky. Do I adjust from the lever bar.....2 adjusting nuts either end or do I move the main hanger with the spline cut into it?....Thanx much.

Loosen the locknuts on both ends of the shifter rod.
The ends of the rod have right and left hand threads respectively. So...if you turn it one way it will lengthen and raise the shift lever away from the footpeg. If you turn it the other way it will shorten the rod length and lower shifter towards the peg. Tighten both locknuts when you are through.
