I'm thinking of having a small amount of custom work done on my '05 TBA. I have in mind custom paint, a chopped rear fender, relocated brake/signal lights and license plate, and perhaps powder-coating the engine.

I wonder whether anyone can recommend a shop in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles that takes on this kind of small project.

Thanks,
Philip

You might want to take a look at these guys,

BRITISH MOTORBIKES
North Hollywood

I haven't had any dealings with them myself, but the bikes they have parked out front look nice enough. The only custom shop in the area I know well enough to trust with my bike doesn't do Triumphs.

Thanks, I'll give them a call. Just looking on Google, there seem to be a few shops in the Chatsworth/Canoga park area. I'll just start calling around.

Phillip, you may want to look into Custom Hot rod shops there in Californica. They should be able to help you with the small custom ideas you have for your bike. Don't think you are limited to bike shops. Paint and cutting your bike is basically bodywork. Any body man worth his salt should be able to help you accomplish these customizations. Check all automotive custom shops. But be choosey.

Phill, you can use any frame out there. You just have to measure the motor from it's highest to lowest point, and fore and aft. Then find a frame you like and make the modification(cut and move down tube or rear tube, etc....). When you find a builder discuss these options with him. fredlevy@hotmail.com
