The pictures look good but he says I'll need to remove the upper fork shrouds to make it fit. What's it look like under there? Has anyone done that? Is 180 a good deal for a used 21" Memphis Shade? Being a cheapskate is so much work We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

popeye Adjunct Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 418 Sheffield,UK	Hi Ladisney, Quite a few of the guys have removed the shrouds alltogether, then replaced the lower shrouds with gaiters, it depends on your taste, the actual stantions are chromed so look OK. However I seem to remember someone fitting memphis shades with the shrouds on, they just needed a bigger fitting kit. Have a look around the boards. $180 seems reasonable - but not cheap. Case Member Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 75 Fullerton, CA	Something doesn't sound right. If you order the mounting kit #MEM9907 (recommended for the America).... you use the shrouds. The clamps mount to the shrouds. I've used this kit and it works well. The mounting kit that is included with the windshield that you're looking at, must be a different kit.?????????
