I've done it!

Today I put the short TORS on my 2008 EFI America (or at least my dealer has - mapping/warranty and all that) and guess what - I have a new bike! Feels like it's been liberated - the difference is staggering! It has more torgue and talk!

Best 200 quid I ever spent!

My only regret - I waited too long.

well done Ivan. I like your choice of pipes too. I tried the louder type of pipes and actually went back to the tors which are a great compromise between a better tone yet good power gains. That's my experience. Anyway, great you now have a nice sounding bike

Staintune Pipes, K&N Pods, 45 pilots, TBS needles and 145 mains.

Thanks buddy - wasn't sure until I the moment I rode her. Took my time (probably too long) to choose the right note - they look, sound and perform great don't they!

now i am envious. i have to wait until first service to put the exact same thing on my efi, and it's been raining all but about 3 days since i bought the thing. i took a short road trip on the days it wasn't, but between work and weather, i'm hard pressed to put the miles on as fast as i want. maybe i can rack it up next weekend

Ivan have you also put the K & N air filter in as well, that makes a difference. I put mine on after about a week and it sure does bring the bike back to life, nice to hear the bike..

Will post some pics of my Speedy soon..

I'd have to agree with Ray on this one too Ivan. The K#N filters with the Tors will complete your setup very nicely. You have to trust us on this one so maybe you can factor them in for not too far down the track Then you will really be happy

changing the filter is pretty easy, on the america. did it today on my efi bike. you only need an 8mm socket (or box), a 12mm socket (or box), and a 5mm allen wrench. remove pillion, remove main seat, remove electrical circuit cover, and remove snorkel. took me about 30m from disassembly, replacement, and re-assembly, without ever having seen the underside of the seat before.

Excellent Timothy - thanks!

Ordered my K&N should be here this week - so guess what I'm doing at the weekend!
