Once you loose the front fender, the rest just doesn't matter.

A bike without a rear fender has always looked weird to me. And I think if you're going to go without a front fender you need to go with a bigger front wheel. I've read a few times of folks who've put 21" wheel on, but have yet to see a good pic of one. That would be the way I would go (hoping to do that this winter) Are you running 2 sets of rear signals?

Yep, no rear fender looks weird to me as well. The bike changes weekly, It takes a 8,12,13,14mm wrench, an adjustable wrench for the strut nut behind the rear shock upper support, and about 20-30 min. to put on both fenders,P-pad with 'Plug-n-Play backrest permanently pop-revited into the owners manual slot on the stock P-pad, and the footrests. A standard disconnect inline allowes me to use the stock tail/brakelight when I put the fender on. Sometimes one fender, sometimes two, sometimes the solo seat, sometimes the gunfighter, sometimes the chrome seat guard, sometimes the stock tail/brakelight. Kind of like T-shirts, just can't wear the same one EVERYDAY! The Amber lights are the left & right turnsignals, and of course the red are tail/brakelights, one on each side. the seat bolts to the chrome seat guard in the middel, and is very secure, more so than my butt is to the seat. I will be posting pic's with the fenders,P-pad,rear footrests, and backrest on when we go to 'Biketoberfest'in Daytona Beach, Fl. this October, cause I've been informed that I won't be going without my better half.
And you may see me tonight

Not exactly legal here either. To be legal, must have fenders, and the tag MUST be displayed in the correct, horizontal position. However, with all the motorcycle venues we have in Florida, the police are very tolerant of everything except noise. As a sidenote, some people I've known have said when they've been pulled over for a traffic infraction here, (i.e. speeding), once they have shown respect for the officer, the officer would tell them "I'll give you a ticket for improper display of tag instead of speeding, that way you'll not get points against you're license. Have a good day, and slow it down!" I've always known I've had a little "outlaw" in my blood.

ummm...I dont hate it but its not my thing. Kudos to you for "going your own way". two questions for you: 1 - what air filters are you using? 2 - whats that chrome thing in the area your air box used to take up? Best seen from the right side of bike.

Correct me if I am wrong but those air filters look like 60s Bonnie air filters.
Not my cup of tea either, I don't like the no rear fender look but there are others out there that like that look, just look at the Speedblaster and Americant thread. I am a tail dragger guy I like a nice long fat fender on the back that almost scrapes the ground. If I knew how to paint well I would have one on mine already.

Yeah, not my cup of tea either, but I commend you for having the huevos and rippin her up. True to the title of custom! Some think a "custom bike" has to look like one of the new age BS choppers...not always the case.
Best looking black girl around!
2004 SM-spokes, solo seat, lowered rear, 14 in apes, bobber rear fender, no front fender. Flat black all the way around.

Did you get that fuel filter-water seperator off an old 9N Ford tractor? Part looks like one. What air filters do you have on it? Hows it run with all that extra weight off there? You think you took off maybe 20 lbs. total?

The air filters are retro 60's Bonny filters, purchased on Ebays "Triumph"site. The "shinny chrome thing"? I guess your probably looking at the back side of the battery in the original battery box. I've wraped the battery with stock plate of brass from my local hobby house. They sell 4"x 12" sheets of Brass, Copper, or Chrome for $2.00-$2.50. Some buy the battery covers from Triumph for like $30-$50.00! Sheeesh!

The fuel filter is off Ebays "Triumph" site by Steadfast Cycles. I'm not happy with the way it sticks out at ya. I'm going to set it in to the inside of the carbs this weekend. Also just found a 200 year anniversary "Jim Beam" shot glass that will replace the glass bowl of the fuel filter with very little effort, can't wait to see that. With stock gearing, It used to do 120 mph, After rejetting with 150's & 45's, It still only does 120, but it hasn't been sync'ed or tuned yet, and is to rich right now. Somethings got to give, as 120 is just to da-- slow.

Kinda surprised no one's complained about the "Bonneville" chrome sprocket cover used, instead of the "politically correct" Speedmaster/America sprocket cover.
