I'm very happy with the Progressives that I put on this last Spring.
Maybe someone has had an opportunity to compare different springs.

You forgot Hagon!!! Seriously, I doubt whether Rossi could tell the difference between them. The thing is that YOU CHANGE 'EM. Makes it a completely different riding experience. I did mine last week and they made a greater difference to the handling than doing the rears. If you're not too heavy, you only need change the springs as the stock oil (what weight is this?) should be fine. (I'm 12stone (170lbs) and it suits me.) Neill

progressives - well worth the effort (20 minutes) to change out. handling definitely improved.

Just got the progressive springs from Eddy and put them on Friday. Great improvement in handling. (put new 412 shocks on too, also worth it.)

Just installed the progressive front springs and the 412 rears and what a differece to the handling of the bike. I only went up the road and in to town but the bike feels more positive and is not bouncing all over the place. Picture is of the Progressive on the left and the oem on the right Simple job of around 30 minutes and the majority of that time was letting the fluid drain from the fork springs before taking them out. did not take the handlebars off to do this mod..

All I can do is tell you what I did:-
1. Lift bike up so front wheel is off the ground 2. Undo top of fork leg, this is slightly under pressure 3. Remove the spacer, long metal tube 4. Remove washer 5. Remove spring but leave it dangling in for a 5 minutes or so to let all the residue oil drip back into the fork leg 6. replace spring with new one and tighten everything up.
A very simple process, I have a speedmaster but have changed the risers and bars. The risers are Rivco ones and the bars are the America ones, this maybe why I got away with not undoing and removing the bars..

In addition to the above, on my 07-spec SM I removed the bars to get clearance to remove the caps & springs, & also added a little 20wt fork oil to what appeared as an ATF factory fill.
