When I was at the shop yesterday, they had the 50th Anniversary Bonneville on the floor. It has been sold ever since the announcement came that it would be available. My timing was pretty good since the owner of the bike is suppose to pick it up today. The white on it really inst white, but blue. It's a blue so light that it almost seems white. Soren

pipedr and I saw one at our dealer a few weeks ago. They have a number plate on the handlebar clamp denoting which one it is. This one was #67, I think. Talked to the guy that bought it. Retired, well-to-do, has lots of other british bikes. Looked kinda cheesy to me. The rear fender is plastic. The light blue and orange don't do much for it either. Shoulda been green or something darker. Even white would be ok. But light blue and orange?

IMHO a beautiful color combo. It's supposed to look like the tangerine/pearl grey from -59.

If I bought one, I'd be very tempted to put a front mudguard number plate on it (aka pedestrian slicer)

I was wondering if it was harkening back to the shell blue of 54.

I hope these thing end up being RIDDEN and not stuffed in some collectors garage.

It is suppose to be pretty much the exact colors of the '59 Bonnie.

It is very close to the color of the 59 Bonneville I bought new in Norfolk Va. Of course 50 years time diminishes the memory but looks the same to me. And I do like it. Of course th 09 model will stop a lot better and for sure handle much better as well.

I saw one a couple of weeks ago. I love it. I want one. Even my dad likes it and he refers to Meriden as the 'proper' Triumph... so if he's happy with it, it must be good.

03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel...
06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel...
09 America - It's very blue....

I read the article in Rider magazine about it ~~ really nice. I think I would still prefer the 50th Anniversary Bonneville over the 50th Anniversary T100 ~~ but that is just me.

There is only one commemorative model and that's the 50th Anniversary Edition of the Bonneville T100.

From what I understand, both those bikes are just special one-off custom designed bikes.

There is one for sale in Palm Bay as of 9/1/08. $20,000 grand? They can kiss my bony hairy ******. At least the guy I was talking to knew the Street Triple had a 675 motor. Now the parts guy was hilarious. I asked him about float needles. He said they were $49.99 for one (1) float needle. omg. That was funny and he was annoyed. Probably because I laughed in his face and told him a friend of mine bought two of them for 20 bucks a couple of weeks ago in New Haven CT. I'll post the cross reference numbers for the float needles in the Tech fault when the EnglishYankee gets back to me with them. Some parts guys are cool then you have the House of Power parts guys that are asshats. I am holyier than thou. And you have no idea what you are talking about good luck finding any cheaper. Yes the House of Power parts guy was apparently deaf too.
RAnting? Well the sales guy at HOP said we have some motorsickles at the Hardley dealership. WHAT? Well we can't sell sickles for less than what corporate says when the sickles are on site. So the hardley place is off site. I roll over to the Hardley place and they do not have any trumpets. Go figure. The sales guy at the hardely place approached me while I was carrying my jacket in 95 degree heat and asked if I had a motorsickle. Although I didn't tell him what I thought of his powers of observation, I politely said yes I do. Well then says he, what can I do to get you on one of the hardleys? I looked him in the eye and said, "Simply give me the keys and a clear title" He walked away...
