Been watching this riding technique dvd for a few days now , and did a few of the exercises(u turns ,zigzaging thru cones and figure 8s) . well worth getting a copy ,not only will it improve your riding skills but its a lot of fun doing the excercises .

"Pro V", isn't that a hair shampoo from Pantene??

Yes, his videos are good and practice with slow speed maneuvering is the thing the average rider has the most problems with. It takes lots of practice and then you need confidence that you can complete the maneuver. If you don't have confidence that you can do it, you probably can't.

Slow riding is my worst ability. I've fallen over in parkinglots at work, gas stations and my driveway to name a few places. How much are these videos? I know they say don't look down, so where do you look?

Look where you want the bike to go! Look down, go down. Don't touch the front brake especially if the front wheel is turned-that's an instant downer.

I saw his early videos and I assume these contain the material in them plus some new stuff. I would recommend them. Then cut some tennis balls in half and lay them out in some deserted parking lot(schools are great on weekends) and practice, practice, practice.

When I started riding again, I had trouble with low speed riding even after the MSF course and these videos helped.

The mantra from IV for low-speed handling was "Head & eyes, friction zone, & rear brake"...with mucho repetition of that general theme...anything much new in V?

I use the local high school parking lot on Sat and Sun morning. It makes it REAL when some kid is trying to learn to drive and mom/dad is having a melt down in the seat next to them.

Big church lots are good during the week.

I would like to see him try that with a 6 inch stretch up and out 6 foot forks and 45 degree rake. LOL

I do a lot of parking lot riding and every time I go out I get better and the circles get smaller.

Motorcycles are meant to maneuver like that not like an 18 wheeler.
Ever notice some of the big hog riders park way out away from the rest like they are in a motor home.
That's why they don't want to hurt their babies.
My nieghbor is my age he has a hog and he rides like a pro.
He has road for years and he runs around on the thing like it is a dirt bike.

He like me doesn't want to wreck or turn the bikes over but if you don't practice this stuff you will NOT be able to get out of a jam in traffic.

One more thing one of the guys I work with tells me it is impossible to turn his Harley in less than a 30 foot circle,
I called him a sissy.

Nice videos

You look into the turn. Head turn, head turn, head turn. I read an article in Friction Zone about the RLaP course they have SoCal, and they stressed many times that full 90 degree head turn in required for most low speed manuevers.
