I've always wanted to mount a GPS unit on my bike, and the Garmin Quest was my first choice. Now that they're on clearance, I couldn't resist.

The Quest is battery operated, and with their bicycle mount, fits in-between our risers perfectly. I've ridden about 100 miles with the gps and so far so good. Now I have proof that my speedometer reads 10% high, and I won't get lost.

I don't know how to post a pic here , so check out my gallery.

Ride safe.

I've got the Quest as well. Made a mount of my own and found a headset on ebay that I mounted in my helmet. Now I can listen to the nice Garmin lady instead of looking that much on the GPS instead of the road... It's nice to be able to use the same machine in both the car and on the bike.

GPSNow.com has 'em for $370 and they have the bike mounts. But if you "google" it, you might find it for less, like on eBay. I bought mine here is Los Angeles at a Circuit City store for $300. Was lucky and got the last one. Got the mount from GPSNow.com.

I have a Streetpilot III with a RAM mount. Also have a Quest in the car. The SPIIIs big screen is great for the BA and it's good to be able to hear the Quest in the car (I forsee this as the wifes product as she doesn't like the early GPS tech).
Do have a question for you, got a good deal on the quest but because of that it came with only the America base map and no software (the SP software will not work). What Garmin map CD works with the Quest? Thanks

Mine came with the program called "City Source", I think. GPSNOw has several programs for the quest that they sell. You could call them and ask what program will work. Good luck.
