We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

We here in the Des Moines area have been watching a lot of gymnastics recently as the local girl Shawn Johnson was all over the Olympics. I almost didn't watch this the first time. I'm glad I did, hilarious! These are all 20-25 years ago, I wonder what he's doing now?

I would guess singing soprano.
Makes my nads hurt just watching some of that

I could have lived on quite happily without seeing this.
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

I saw the first one last week and it was funny. Now that I see he's done a bunch of them over the course of a decade or so, it's a little creepy.

Apparently he had a regular comedy routine where he used his gymnastic skills to poke a little fun at the hyper serious world of high level gymnastics. After hearing the seriousness with which coaches and commentators talked about a sport dominated by teenage girls during the Olympics I enjoyed the heck out of it. There was certainly very little humor during the competition over the last few weeks. Odd? Yes!, Campy? Certainly! Creepy? That’s bit strong.

Definately stretching my thinking equipment now, but I am sure Paul Hunt was a rated male Gymnast who went on to become a coach.
He often found the best way to explain to little people what they were doing wrong was to show them and his routines had parents and others in fits of laughter.
His reputaion spread and he became a comedy turn that lightened the atmosphere at some very important events.
I think I must have seen his gig half a dozen times on Wide World OF Sports in the 80's.
Regards, STU
