On my way into work this morning, I stopped at a convience store and a guy in there saw my bike and asked what it is. So, I told him. He responsed with "Oh, yea! you can't go wrong with a Triumph." Ok, no problem so far. Then he went onto say, "Back home on my farm in Texas, I've got a '65 Harley Knuckle Triumph Pan Handle Head. Yep, one thing about those Harley Triumphs, they just keep a runnin'". I replied with just a simple, "yep" and rode off. Soren

What an obtuse podunk dweller - anyone with any sand at all knows that Harley didn't make the Triumph Knuckle Pan Handle Head until 1968 .

The bar tender in Mt Dora this past Saturday said to Lynn and I, "So y'all have a Triumph?" Yeah. It's parked right outside. He goes and looks and comes back in and says, "I can't seem to find it" You're joking right? We both go outside and he says, "ah a motorcycle, I was looking for a car". Whew.

Tom , Wendy, and I were at a breakfast place this Sunday for coffee when a guy comes up and asks us who was on the Triumph. We all said we were and he said he thought the other 2 were HD. Duh.. they all say Triumph clearly on the tank as well as a few other places.

Here's mine..
The wife and I drove to the newly opened Tractor Supply store early Saturday evening just to check it out. Standing in the checkout line with my Triumph hat on, Eb and Betty Lou were in front of us. Eb looks at my hat and says "Do you have a Triumph?" I reply yes. "I've got a '74 with 6700 miles on it. Man I really love riding that bike."
I replied - I've got an '03 working on 27,000 miles. I like to ride too.
"OH" he said......

It still kills me when I'm carrying my helmet and you hear "you ridin' a bike?"
Seriously. If I could keep a straight face I'd reply with a "no", and keep walking.
I see a chrome bike and I want to paint it black.

I got collared by a market research guy in the local shopping centre whilst walking around in full leathers and carrying a helmet (I was on my daytona that day) and asked "what type of car did you use to get here today?"
I told him I had a Bugatti Veyron (wishful thinking) but I was a little concerned about safety so I wear full leathers and a helmet to drive it because "you never can be too careful".
The sad thing was the guy thought I was being serious and continued to ask a number of questions about parking spaces.
Before the war on terror, if I saw an unattended package I used to think "I'll be having that!"
