So my girlfriend and I love to canoe down some of Missouri's finest current filled spring fed rivers. Just got back from one on the Niangua one of the slower yet party rivers. We were floating by 2 ladies in a canoe I would say in their 40's talking amongst each other.

The one in front askes the woman in back "where do we get out at, and how will we tell its the right spot?"

The other lady responds "Oh... well we stop where we put in at. This river goes in a circle."

She was dead serious, and wasn't drinking a drop. My girlfriend turns around and just looks at me trying to hold back the laughter.

I had to ask "where you two from?"
Response was "Kansas"
Me "oh... cool have a good one"

Apparently Kansas is so flat rivers flow in circles.

I then paddle off. I wonder if they got out at the right spot, or are now in the Lake of the Ozarks by now??

Were they blonde? Dumbest one I heard of was the office temp who was struggling with a fax machine. This is a while ago when they were still quite new. A guy goes over to see if he can help (mainly cos she's pretty). She says she can't send the fax. He asks her to show him what she did. She puts the invoice in the top and dials the number. The call is answered and the usual screeching fax handshake begins. The paper pases through the machine and then the fax hangs up.

So whats the problem? He asks.

She grabs the invoice and says, but look it's still here!

MO has some awesome canoeing - I think it was the Jack's River or something similar near Eminence. It wasn't circular, though...

Yup Jack's Fork, Current River, Niangua, Elk, and the Merrimac are all very fun to go on.

Yes they were both blonde. I think they were thinking about the lazy river at the nearest water park. All you do is sit on a tube as pumps pump the water in a big circle.

I had been drinking beer all day, and still wasn't on the ignorance level. Trust me I've been close, but jeeze.

You know I have lived in Missouri my whole life and seen and heard some off the wall things, believe me live closer to the Ozarks and you would hear them to. But I have never heard one that bad.

I heard a lady at WalMart talking to her daughter ( in Peoria, IL ), she wanted to know where she could get "those special, curly light bulbs ".

Like George Carlin said (paraphrasing): Just think about how stupid the average person is, and realize half the people are dumber than that...

Right up in New Hampshire we have Water Country Theme park(I'm taking my family tomorrow). They have the Lazy River, it goes around the whole park,in a circle. I'm gonna get in a tube and float around in circles all day long.
