Boys of Old Virginia its getting to be that time of year when we need to start thinking about putting a ride together. We have rallies in the Southeast, Nor-East, Southwest, Northwest and points in between. We need to host us a Mid-Atlantic Rally! For a rally, Outlanders out in Luray is getting close to opening up their biker campground. It will have everthing for the biker, it's right on the Shenandoah River and close to all the good mountain riding. Even if not a rally we need to get together and do some riding, I'm getting tired of riding with other bikes all the time! So speak up, who are you and where are you! Lets ride!

I'm in Richmond. Put my name on the list for any ride. I might be able to make it on the Aug. 30 if I can get out of some other plans . Tim, I was down your way for the AMA races this weekend (wow nice track)

Just throwing it out there, since we have people interested from point north, south east and west what about Anita's in Chantilly? its close to interstate for people to meet up and we should be able to pick a place to ride that will be satisfactory, Clifton/Princewilliam, Middleburg/and points west, Leesburg/purcellvile, etc. Any thoughts??

Anita's is certainly an option. I absolutely love the 1.00 Breakfast Burrittos. I was thinking about meeting at the Q-Stop on 211 (intersection of 211 and 229) say around 10am on the 30th. Ride would take us across Thornton Gap on 211, stop for gas in Luray, Stop for cig/dip break at Outlanders, shoot over the mountain on 615/left on 675 (tuns into 678) Ft. Valley Rd. ride that throught the park to a right on Mountain Rd, back to Front Royal, stop for gas cig/dip break again at the Citgo on the corner of 340. Take the shortcut over to 522 back to Flint Hill and have lunch and brews at the best English Pub in VA The Griffin Tavern (I don't even have to ask, I just sit down and they bring me a Boddingtons). After luunch 522 to 211 back to the start point. Anyway... my thoughts, I'm open to suggestions. Gene, would welcome you and the MD boys!

Cool. So is it def that we are meeting up on 211? Not sure where 211 meets up with 229. How far is 229 from Warrenton?

(*^%^%)&^!!!! I've got cracks in my tires that make me nervous for any long distance (or short for that matter!) I'm not sure if I cen get them replaced before Saturday. If so, I'll be there. If not, will I get shot if I put pictures of my America on the sides of my Harley tank and bring it instead? I promise to wear my Triumph shirt!!

Weather permitting it's a go. On the 30th, meet at 10am at the Q-Stop at the intersection of (Lee Hwy) 229 (rixeyville rd) and 211.
Gene, it's several miles west of Warrenton on 211.

Watching the 6 o'clock weather report and it's calling for rain here in the southeast on Saturday. How's it looks up in the meeting area?

30% chance of rain on Saturday. If it looks like the weather is going to be worse than that later in the week we can do it on Sunday. Lets wait and see.

Agree with all, the latest weather report has Saturday as the best day anyway. The 30th is still the go date.

I saw that... amazing how fast those weather people change their minds. In any event, Saturday still doesn't look too bad so I say we are still a go.

I'm still planning on it as well although it'll have to be on the Harley (sorry, I expect plenty of ridicule!). I couldn't get in to get tires yet for my America but I'll bring pictures.
