Yep, found out the hard way. My right hand is so swollen it's hard to pull the brake lever. Luckily I'm not one of the people that is allergic. The nurse told me to be a lot more cautious in the future, since I escaped with just one or two stings and show a medium reaction.
If you are working and you notice a bee go into the ground, end your curiosity right there. Do not poke your loppers in the hole to mess him up! I was stung and dove out of the way of a volcano of bees in a micro second. I ran through the front door and the bees followed. When I went back outside a few minutes later, the ****** bees were still attacking the rubber handled loppers! This was yesterday and my hand throbs and itches like I did it an hour ago. Ah, life is such an adventure!
It appears I'm safer on my bike.....

Ridin' and playin' 'til I can't.

OK , revenge is sweet . Go get you a small cup or so of gasoline . Wait until dark , they go underground then . Have a rock in one hand and the petro in the other , chuck it down the hole , set the rock over it . Problem solved . Permanently .

You forgot the part about lighting it....

Around here, we call them yellow jackets. They build a honeycomb nest in the ground and there may be several entrances and exits. Skunks love 'em. They will just tear the ground apart to get at the nest.

Next week on Wild Kingdom, we'll explore the differences between the mud wasp and it's cousin, the paper wasp... Stay Tuned!

Lighting it ? Well , it feeds that monster of revenge , but it actually saves their diabolical little lives . If ya DON'T light 'em up , the fumes settle down and kill the little hellions .

When I used to cut logs , every other tree had a yellow jacket nest beside it , the vibration and smoke drives them into a murderous frenzy .
