I never liked the look of the brake line draped over the front fender. I installed black stainless braided brake lines today. Moved the longer banjo bolt from the bottom left caliper up to the front master cylinder.

Put a couple of plugs from Ace Hdwe in the fender.

Intalled a power port up front for my Garmin Zumo or for charging something. It's hard to see (that's good), it's right in the middle of the pic.

Taken through the windscreen.

Nice mod. Will that improve braking capabilities by any chance?

I've always felt that adding braided brake lines to my bikes improved the feel and added braking power. Time will tell on my Speedmaster.

Putting braided lines on my bike now. Did anyone have problems removing the banjo bolts from their reservoirs? Started to remove mine and it was so difficult I thought it may have been reverse threaded but the manual says no. Would hate to strip this thing and make a large job from a small one.

Thanks,
Alan

Nice job. the original lines are already braided stainless, so you probably wont pick up too much in the way of an improvement there

I'd thought of doing the same mod a while back. Even had my order ready to send off. But then. Anyway looks really good. It should not really make any difference in performance one way or the other. As once a system is full and all the air out it dosent really care about the lenght or number of lines. But it sure looks cleaner. I may rethink doing mine as well.

I did that mod a year ago. It made my brakes firmer....Angelis

Normal RH threads and should come apart fairly easily, could be binding in the banjo fitting. If the fitting gets cocked on the bolt it will bind wanting to turn the fitting with the bolt. Could be some corrosion on the threads too making it hard to turn, in this case be careful since you could remove the threads with the bolt. In that case I turn the bolt out until it gets hard to turn then back in and then back out again and so on going slightly farther each time until it comes out.
