Forgive me for sounding negative, but finding solid answers with regards to fuel additives could prove difficult at best. Aside from word of mouth, I've never found any useful comparative or independent data on aftermarket fuel additives for gasoline or diesel. I've longed for an unbiased "Consumers Reports" style comparison of fuel additives, but don't think it exists. After buying 4 million plus gallons of diesel fuel over a ten year stretch, the best I could tell you is the Power Service brands seem to work as advertised, and seem to be able to supplant kerosene as a Winter supplement, and the Stanadyne brands are the only additives supplied by a injection pump manufacturer. There you have it -- ten years of research. ;-) All gasoline is additized, but aside from the federally required additive(s) and MSDS sheets, we're not really sure with what, nor are we going to find out anytime soon. Don't even get me started on that political shell game we call "Ethanol"
the miracle juice that lowers MPGs, which coincidentally creates a tax revenue windfall as fuel is taxed by the gallon.
