Was browsing the jp cycles catalog and found some cool looking front fenders . They of course list the usual metric suspects--yamaha, kawi, suzuki. Anyone know what will fit our bikes? Dosen't have to be one of these, looking for info for any aftermarket front fender. What about Harley fenders?

Hey Scott... don't you just hate that? Parts listed strictly by apps with nary a mention of any dimensions and such....grrrrrrrr. I replaced the front fender on my bike but it was a snipe hunt for sure. I only had dimensions to go on so your best bet is to search for fenders that are not model specific but instead look at builders supply places. We have six inches between the forks, now if you are running the stock size tire this will give you a little more room to play with for clearances. I have a 120 tire up front so needed 5 1/2" in width at minimum to cover the tire. Tried a couple of Harley fenders, one for a road king was the best fit but too close to the tire, again if you are running the stock size it would probably work. I ended up getting a blank steel fender called the "Roller" that is in the Jesse James line. It's a steel fender with sides that come down far enough to drill holes for the mounting points. Has a 5 1/2" width so some 1/4" chrome spacers from the local Ace Hardware did the job. Next problem, see how the stock fender has the divots molded in where it aligns with the forks? There is a reason for that... got my fender mocked up then did all the prep and paint work. Mounted it on the bike and took it out for a spin. First hard bump I hit due to the lovely streets in our neck of the woods I hear this horrendous(sp?) crunch/scraping sound. Pulled over in shock and couldn't find anything right away, once back home I discovered that the lower fork shrouds had made a nice long shallow gouge on either side of the fender, summabeyotch!!!!!!!! I have since remedied this by making Ace of spade cutouts in the fender that align with the forks. If you were running sans the lower shrouds or with gaitors instead you should be fine. More than you wanted to know? hehehehehe Anyway, good luck, I know there is probably alot more fenders out there that fit but I liked this one and I was more than done with the searching and searching part.

Wow. I had a feeling it was going to be difficult. I didn't think about the fork shroud issue. So you cut a chunk of the fender out where it hit? I have a 120 tire also. Yours looks awesome, but since we live so close I can't get the same one!
