Amazing what the need for money can do. Most 20somethings dont have a clue who they are.

I hope it wont be a disappointing event. Idd like to see them thats for sure.
neither one of them have tv shows any more. Tommy is only remembered as the photo shop dude from the 70s show. and Cheech from Nash Bridges,,,and a lot of the young guys i work with dont really know that show any more.

Time to get the DVDs out again!

I actually pulled a muscle in my stomach laughing at "Up In Smoke".

I heard a rumor that the movie is about the Alice Bowie reunion tour.

I remember living in Greeley, Fall of 1978, and all the housemates got loaded up to see "Fantasia" down at the local 2-theater "cineplex". Dog-gone if the movie hadn't changed the day before. Too far gone to go anywhere, except the next theater, where "Up in Smoke" was playing. Okay, whatever, can't go anywhere. LOFA'sO

I think my fav bit is the one in Up In Smoke where Cheech picks up Chong in his low rider "hey double bubble I'll give you a ride" and the cop knocks on the window " keep on knockin' but ya can'r come in" Cop "Whats your friends name?" Chong pukes in Cheeches lap, Cheech "Oh, his name is RRAALLPPHHH" LOL that whole bit kills me. Or the trash can full of garbage and gas the siphoned for the T-bird..... I can think of tons that just kill me. And yep, I bough Big Bamboo when it came out too.

when i was a stagehand i worked their show. At that point in my life (and several of my friends lives) i had not heard of them and didnt know what they did. It was the funniest thing any of us had ever seen. i was working the spotlight and had to call in my imediate supervisor because i was laughing so much i was haveing a hard time doing my job. he was older and didnt get a lot of what was going on but i couldnt stop laughing so he took over for me. there have only been a few times in my life that i have laughed that much for that long, my guts hurt for days. Truely the best of their time!!!!!! i still think their "Next Movie" is one of the best movies ever made!!!!!!

ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!

Cheech and Chong are doing a live tour, light up America or something like that. I'm sure the need for money fits in there somewhere but I suspect their disgust with the direction our country's war on drugs(lol) is taking us plays largly into their decision to make a statement.
If anyone saw the movie,"America's War on Drugs, The Last White Hope", and Tommy Chong's interview from his Texas prison cell; It's easy to see that something needs to be said.
I hope thet my children don't ask why did we let this happen? Like I do about the Nazis during WWII.
BTW if you haven't seen the movie I highly recommend it. Like what it has to say or not, it is an eye opening experience. And before any jumps all over me, I hate drugs,(no problem with pot), and the awful effects the have on people and society.
For what it's worth.

I have just about all of their movies too!

BTW, what does "Pendejos" mean? Not something good I would guess.

Nice dreams all.

I agree totally. I also have no problem with pot. It's "effects" have been totally blown out of proportion. It should have been legalized years ago. Other drugs---NO! Most of them are extremely harmful and do destroy lives.

Well, that's my opinion. Paw.

I saw a show on, I think, E! network about Cheech & Chong.
It showed the billboard chart that put "Los Cochinos"(The Nasty Boys) at number 2 on the Pop chart.
Number 3 was the Rolling Stones "Sticky Fingers"
No other comedy albums have come close.

"Pendejo literally means "pubic hair". The figurative translation is "a-hole".

If you're talking about a female, it's "pendeja".

The "s" makes it plural.
