There are two seats that appear to be very similar if not the same. What’s the difference?
Roadster Seat – Triumph Part # A9708120
Gunfighter Seat – Triumph Part # A9708122

Gunfighter seat seems to be significantly shorter than the Roadster seat. Can't see any other difference.

Gunfighter appears to have less padding for a lower set too.

The Triumph dealer in Wexford PA has both seats in stock.
I was there earlier this week. The roadster seat reminded me of a sportster seat.

Yeah it's fast. It's blue and it has flames.

The gunfighter is basically a modified solo seat. The roadster is not a touring seat but has more room for a passenger. The gunfighter is stock on the Speedmaster. I went from my stock TBA seat to the roadster and like it for the sleek look and ability to still have the old lady ride.

Bdrav,

How comfortable is the roadster seat for the passenger - is it up to a small amount of touring (like 3 or 4 hours on the road each day, with a break) or would one be pushing (or creating) their luck?

I you are looking for passenger comfort about 1-2 hours is the max on the roadster. Of course I don't like to contend with grumpy passengers. The stock TBA seat and pillion would be better for passenger comfort. If comfort is the issue go with a Corbin or the Triumph touring is a little cheaper. I went with the roadster for looks and short distances with a passenger. A sissy bar would help with the roadster but I don't like the looks of the bars.

Hmm...in my opinion the Solo seat is far more comfy then the stock 'Gunslinger' on SM's...I changed before last summer...great difference...
