Anyone know the inner diameter of the header pipe at the end where the silencer slips over it? I need to slip a baffle in there to quiet down the Khromeweks slash cuts, and don't know what the inner diameter is. I'm guessing it's close to 1 5/8 inch...

If you are going with the std baffles sold for HD drag pipes just buy the set for 1 3/4 pipes and they should go right in.

I got home and measured the pipes. 1.64" inner diameter. Dog, do you have a link to those baffles? I'd appreciate it.

I actually mounted the Short Slash-cut turnouts and went for a ride after work today. MY GAWSH they are LOUD! I had neighbors coming out their doors with shotguns :-).

I went for a 4 mile loop and it was just too darn loud. The sound reverberated through my helmet and gave me a headache. When I got up to 70-mph cruising speed, it did smooth out, but everything below that was too freakin harsh. NOW, I must say that when I took off from a light aggressively, it was, well, primal..... But still too freakin loud. I need some baffles...

They are available many places though besides J&P. These won't make much difference as far as how loud your pipes are. Also you are supposed to drill a hole to mount these but could use a screw on the inside to push out against the inside of the pipe instead.

and if you were to close the small end off with a welch plug will help a little with the noise factor
