I am new to this game, but I am sure I will be corrected if this is in the wrong place. I am in the market for a BA and I have been lurking in the site for a while. I am trying to decide what windshield to get for a person of my size. I am 6'3" and 230 lbs. I am a new rider and read about buffetting, but have not experienced anything that has caused me too much concern. I currently steal my son's Buell when he is not looking.

This will get moved my a moderator to "Accessories". At 6'3", I would definitely advise against Triumph's windshields as thery are best suited for someone 6' or under on a Speedmaster or America. The Bonneville screens and riding position are different. I've never heard about a person that wasn't thrilled with purchasing a BA or SM.

Type CLEARVIEW into the search area and see what comes up. Should be some info there.

Although I have a Clearview, you need to purchase $90 hardware from Triumph and that is only for the top and bottom brackets and does not include the chrome 'straps' that run up and down and across most windshields.

In addtion, I had fitting problems and had to send the windshield back, which they replaced under warranty but the second shield was no better. Other people have had this problem but it may have been solved by now.

After many hours of fiddling, my Clearview fits and is a good windshield.

Check out National Cycle on this search engine. They seem to have some good products.
