I'm installing a rivco light bar. their instructions call for an on/off switch on head-light shell, with power from some circuit in the head-light. I know that there is an extra power plug under the tank. does anyone know if its on with the key, or power at all times? I had planed on keeping the driving lights on all the time when riding.
I really dont want to drill, and mount an on/off switch on the head-light.

The standard light bar plug below the tank has connections for always on with key, always on with low beam, and always on with high beam. Check your local laws, where I live I have to have a switch to disable driving lights. Have a look at the lightbar section of my webpage for connections (address in my signature).

The standard plug under the tank for the light bar is just power to the OEM lights. The Triumph lightbar has a switch in the light itself. I believe you can buy the OEM wiring harness from your Triumph dealer(stealer)

The OEM lightbar works independently from the high beam and lights...

Yes, you can; Part # A99300037. If I remember right it's about $35.

I got it figured out. Rerouted the turn signal wires, and found the low beam power in the head-light shell. That way the driving lights are only on with low beam. Not real happy with the quality of the Rivco light bar set. the bar itself is OK but the rest(lights) are kind of cheap.
IMO not worth the money I paid for it.
