Are the fork springs by Progressive 11-1145 use the stock spacer? Or do I have to go to a Hagon or other brand?

Think I am going to swap out suspension both front and rear.

Was talking with wife about getting thumped with rear stock shocks. Her comment was replace them. Does it get any better.

I installed the progressive fork springs by Ikon from Brent at newspeedmaster.com. I used the existing spacer and didn't bother to change the oil. They're a huge improvement in handling. My wife has also complained about the ride in back, so I'm looking at a set of Progressives for the rear as well! This seems like a really good price on them: Progressive Shocks on Ebay

The Progressive full length springs do indeed use the stock spacer. They are a very worthwhile upgrade. Buy them from Fast Eddy & be happy!

What preload setting are your stock shocks currently set on? Anything less than 3 is too little preload for 2-up. And anything more than 3 is too little damping...

I have Progressive 412 standard length (12.5") heavy duty shocks on my 07 SM, however I normally ride solo. I weigh about 170 without the riding gear, however the bike has extra weight from a number of accessories (lightbar, flyscreen, footboards, centerstand, Tsukayu hardbags...). The 412's are currently set on preload setting 3, which may be too much. I'll give setting 2 a try & see how it does.

They don't normally stock the std 12.5 so waiting on a price.

Have bought shocks from them in the past with no problems.

When I talked with Progressive a few months ago they recommended the Std over the HD. I do have similiar extras in windscreen, centerstand, soft bags, and a heavier rear end. Go about 225. Wonder if I am borderline on HD vs Std
