Ihave a squeek in the forks that niggles every time I go over a dip- how do I oil the front forks!

First, check the alignment of the fork shrouds and make sure they aren't touching the lower legs. If that's OK, spray some WD40 or similar stuff on the upper fork legs. Once you have cured the squeek a time or two with a lubricant spray, the fork will have broken in enough to take care of this itself.

Greybeard is right. the only correction is for you to use a silicon spray lube. wd40 and others are petroleum based which could damage your rubber seal.

just a quick note to say thanks for the help and advice- I used silicon spray similar to that used to make a car bumber shiny- worked a treat!

I used lithium spray grease through a little extention tube. A two second spray under each shroud. That was before last Christmas, and the squeak is still gone. Ride Safe, Dennis

I had the same problem when i got my bike i just kept shooting the silicon spray up the shrouds until they broke in and there all set now. That squeeking made my skin crawl but it did go away
