OK, I know that there are some around here that have installed the hard bags that Brent sells and I am looking for info on installation issues to watch out for etc. I just ordered some and will take delivery next week. Mark

Nice bike roadworthy. What is your opinion on the build quality of those bags? Any issues? What type of windscreen are you using?

Thanks. I will post on the durability of the bags in a week or so, I'm leaving for Sturgis within the hour now. I used bigger fender washers and rubber washers like Zmilin to take some more pressure off the side. The screen in the pic is Triumph Roadster, but my Clearview came in on Wednesday, its on the bike now. I will also report on that when I get back. I have more than 600 miles to go today, I better get started.

Those bags look great. Really complement the bike.
Post some pics of the Clearview when you get back.
Safe trip.

Do those mount to EZ brackets? Not that it is practical to take off hard bags, but I already have them and dont like my XL soft bags now.

I looked into using EZ brackets and found they would mount the bags too high up. This being caused by the offset of the hard bag...if you look at the pics of the install youll see the bag has a sort of offset molded into it, I think so the hardware allows it to mount closer to the bike.

MTNWarrior They will work, but the brackets push the bags further out from the bike. It doesn't look as good (to my eye), but I use them because I prefer to ride without the bags most of the time. There is also a little more flex when using the EZs, but it can be minimized by mounting straps around the bag supports and bolting them to the plate on the brackets. I still get a little more bag shake than direct mounting, but it's not an issue on most roads. Gary

Ok so I am going to give these bags a big for durability, I had zero issue stuffing them full and riding all day for days at a time. They ride real nice, no major movement, even over big bumps. Anyone considering them, I say go for it, they are worth the money.
