My TBA with 6K gives off gas vapor. I smell it when I stop and it's quite marked.
I can't see any leaks. I removed the gas hose from the switch to remove the tank when I installed a new horn, but I was careful to put it back tight with the brace right on it.
No evaps. AI removed. I did removed the first baffle from the pipes and pierced the second and didn't rejet, but that's all the difference from stock.
I mentioned to the dealer when I went to the 6K service and he said something about venting.
It wasn't like that when new. It can't be a big leak if that's what it is because the mileage remains the same.
Any ideas?
Thanks

UMM, did you hook the hose back up that attaches to the vent on the bottom of the front of the tank??? The vent tube kinda wraps up around the front of the front slip mount for the tank and attaches to a small tube near the front. Mark

It must be that because I am not even aware of such tube. I remember the snorkel tube and the fuel line tube but that's it.
Oh boy!
Thanks
I'll have to remove the tank again... and look for it...

If you remove your fuel cap, you can see the vent pipe sticking up beside the tank fill hole. That pipe travels to the bottom of your tank like Mark stated. Your vent tube attaches to that.

When you find out what was causing it, please let me know. My dog has the same problem, and I'd like to try your fix on her...
